Pupil Premium & Sport Funding

Pupil Premium Funding 2016 to 2017

For the academic year 2016 to 2017 West Winch Primary School received £46,500 Pupil Premium (£46,200 via Free School Meals funding and £300 via funding for Forces Children).

 

This funding will be used to provide:

  • A range of Reading, Writing and Maths intervention programmes.
  • Linked training and support for teachers and teaching assistants (e.g. Catch Up Numeracy).
  • A range of additional activities to raise pupils self esteem, confidence and attainment.
  • Nurture Group and Art/Play Therapy Sessions.
  • Teaching Assistant support

Sport & PE Funding 2015 to 2016

West Winch Primary School receives £8000, plus a premium of £5 per pupil each academic year to improve our provision of Sport & PE across the school.   

 

Examples of spending via the Sport & PE premium are:

  • Additional Sports clubs and lessons for all year groups.
  • A wider range of sports provided (such as archery, curling and golf).
  • Particpation in a variety of sporting competitions.
  • Additional training sessions for staff.
