FLOOR STANDARDS 2017 to 2018

The Government expects all primary schools to meet a minimum 'floor standard' for pupil attainment and/or progress.

In 2017, schools must:

Have at least 65% of pupils achieve the 'expected' standard in Reading, Writing and Maths:  West Winch = 75% (10% above floor);

Have achieved sufficient progress score in all three subjects.

This means at least -5 in Reading:  West Winch = 2.2 (7.2 above floor)

At least -7 in Writing:  West Winch = -2.8 (4.2 above floor) and

At least -5 in Maths:  West Winch = 0.8 (4.2 above floor).

Therefore the West Winch results indicate that in all measures, we are well above floor standards for the academic year 2016 to 2017.
