• Welcome to West Winch Primary School

Welcome to Winch Winch Primary School. As you navigate our website, I hope that you enjoy discovering what makes this such a stimulating and joyful place to learn and work. West Winch Primary School is a happy, purposeful place of brave academic enquiry and personal discovery for boys and girls aged 4 to 11. The school’s setting in rural West Norfolk, just a stone’s throw from the Royal Sandringham Estate and the North Norfolk coast - a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty - helps define the school and is part of what makes it so exciting, yet the real excitement can be found within our classrooms.

We are proud of our approach to offering a broad and balanced educational experience in a very supportive environment, fostering the children’s talents and interests and helping them to achieve their own goals. Delivered by committed staff, through inspirational teaching methods and the innovative use of technology, the curriculum is enhanced by a co-curriculuar programme of activities, trips and visitors designed to broaden young minds.

We are a kind and compassionate place too, and our values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY and RESOURCEFULNESS course through our pupils’ school lives setting them up for a bright and fulfilling future.

Our outstanding and individualised pastoral care is a highlight at West Winch Primary School, encouraging pupils to understand themselves and take considered and reflective ownership of their lives. We nurture an inclusive and tolerant community, which embraces the cultural and social mix within school and the world around us.

Pupils care about each other and the things that matter in life. They take themselves and their aspirations seriously and have a great deal of fun. We are so proud of all that our pupils achieve and contribute, finding opportunities to experiment and grow in confidence and serve the communities around them.

Our pupils are unfailingly good company; they regularly make me laugh and surprise me. Nothing can replace meeting them - or visiting our school. I do hope I can welcome you here very soon.

    Miss K Todd - Headteacher
